Sentosa turned 40! A carnival of fun and attractive promotions are in store as Sentosa celebrates her birthday with us.
How can the Kuan Family missed out on such a fun event? So we were there on 1 Sep to try out the first-ever outdoor ice slide by the beach in Asia.
This featured two ice slides, measuring 5-metres and 8-metres.
Kids or adults will slide down the ice slides in one of these colourful floats.
I think Joey was a bit startled by the cold slide. She looked a bit “stone-faced”.
According to the organizers, their worry was not the heat that will melt the ice, it is the rain.
It’s “Cool” to be an Islander!
Even if you the MRT train is late, you won’t be so “heated” up.
Besides the ice slides and sculptures, the Kuan Ladies had an “eye-whirling” day at the beach. Check out the specs! Funny!
Magic show is usually the crowd puller in events like this. I think Joey looks really nice in those red shorts!!
Stunning face-painting by a very patient and nice girl.
Jayne chose flowers and Joey chose rabbit.
After 2 hours in the sun, Kless decided it was time for lunch. We brought along our Coasters vouchers, cheers!
This is the first time we actually sat in for a meal although we have walked past many times.
Our delicious Aglio Olio Prawn Spaghetti.
The girls are old enough to sit down and enjoy the good food with us. Looking forward to a day I can bring them out individually for a special Daddy-Daughter date.
I really love such impromptu performances. These guys just came out from nowhere and danced to the music. Cool!
Another type of dance you would not usually see along the beach. Pole dancing! The girls are extremely amazing, the power and agility on the pole. If you are interested, they can give you a lesson for $25 on the spot.
Head down to Sentosa this weekend. The reason is clear that Sentosa can entertain everyone of us for 40 years, and I’m sure the next 40 years will even be better.
Happy Birthday Sentosa!
