Mummy Is Still Young

Both me and my mother celebrates our birthdays just 1 week apart from one another. Hers is on Dec 24, and mine is on Dec 31.

This year, we bought her the latest iPhone 4S for her birthday, which she has already been using it for coming to a month now. She is 59 years old but still quite IT savvy. None of my friends who have met my mother will believe that she is approaching 60. I guess that genes had been passed down to me too. I don’t look my age too, right? Come back tomorrow when I reveal my true age. And no, I am no longer 28…

Brought my mother to Seb’s Bristo for her birthday lunch. Her favourite is beef steak, and plus the fact that there is a wonderful children’s playground, the choice was clear.

Our younger daughter has grown very close to her grandmother recently, especially this year when my mother volunteered to stay home to take care of both our girls. It’s such a heart-warming scene whenever the girls are able to bring a smile to my mummy’s face.

My younger brother and his girlfriend managed to join us for a lazy afternoon family time too.

One thing that endears everyone to Jayne is her ability to just melt your heart with small actions like these… I take credit for such a cute baby.. =p

Nai Nai will always hold a very special place in the 2 girls’ hearts. That is exactly what we are thankful for every single day of our lives.

Seb’s Bristo & The Playhouse

We have heard of Rochester Park for the longest time. While planning for another trip to Queensway (Papa’s favourite place for sports equipment), Kless suggested this playhouse place. Since it was quite near to my intended destination, let’s go!

Not disappointed at all, Seb’s Bristo & The Playhouse is a the perfect place to spend a lazy afternoon. To prove my point, the restaurant even played the “Lazy Song” by Bruno Mars.

It’s almost empty on a Monday afternoon except for 2 families there. I think this would serve as a good place for a private party of 30-50.

Of course, almost everything we do nowadays have to revolve around the kids. The main reason why we choose this restaurant is for The Playhouse. Located just besides the dining area, it’s a bungalow-turned-playhouse area just for kids age 0-12. Rates are a bit steep, but considering the fact that parents can comfortably eat a meal and enjoy some serenity, it’s a low cost to pay.

Kids’ all time favourite, the slide.

Joey loves to play cooking. I think it started when we had ‘cooking mama’ on ipad.

She set up a feast for me and prohibited me to take any photo, but I still did. I think my girl will grow up to be good wife and mother.

Jayne on the other hand was just happy to linger around the slide area and play feeding the baby game.

The playhouse was filled with fun and interesting items. No wonder the girls were so reluctant to leave after a full hour of play.

While the girls are playing inside, both Kless and I were just enjoying our wonderful lunch.

Mine was prawn aglio olio, very nice!

Kless ordered some kids meal becos she wanted some fries. But according to her, the fish fillet is very fresh and delicious. I think you can see it by her expression.

Scones. 4 for only S$3.00, coupled with the raspberry jam, fantastic!

If you prefer to play outdoor, there is an outdoor trampoline for kids. Best of all, it’s FOC.

Be sure to visit this place. I know for sure, we will be going back again pretty soon.

Just love to see the 2 sisters bonding while growing up. I pray that they will always hold each other’s hand no matter what.
