[Giveaway] Swisse Multivitamin

Product Review

For all the reasons out there for one to maintain his/her health, there is just one reason that matters for me to stay healthy and vigor. That is for my family, my wife and two girls. Sad to say, it is getting more frequent to hear from friends of heart problems, cholesterol issues, sleep disorder, and the usual pains and aches.

Personally, I am guilty of not taking much supplements or multivitamins to enhance the immunity of the body. Fact is when we grow older, I think the body starts to absorb the nutrients needed slower than before, which is exactly why multivitamins plays an important role.

Swisse is Australian’s No.1 multivitamin brand now in Singapore. To name some of its ambassadors like the former Wimbledon champion and world number one Lleyton Hewitt, cricket legend Ricky Ponting and the Australian national rugby team, the Wallabies.

According to Euromonitor, vitamins and dietary supplement will be expected to be gaining popularity in Singapore mainly due to an aging population, as well as increasing awareness of the importance of maintaining health and wellbeing. Especially so in Singapore society, we all lead a busy lifestyle and it is always so hard to balance work, life and family. In come Swisse’s unique range of vitamins, which helps to supplement what is lacking in our diet, and provide the nutritional difference one needs.

So … I was given the chance to try out the Swisse Men’s Ultivite & Swisse Ultiboost Hair, Skin, Nails.

2015-06-08 18.37.47

After 14 days of trying it out. I wouldn’t say I am a “changed” man, but honestly I do feel the energy level different than before. With my line of work, I have to face the laptop most of the time and when I am not, I will be out running around doing events. Usually my energy level will be low and over a few days of stress-filled work days, I will not be able to spend time with my kids, at home or outside. But the past 2 weeks, I was able to have that extra stamina to bring the girls out during the school holidays. Fulfilling my duty as a good father =)

It would be a great try out for Parents (Mummy & Daddy), especially during this school holidays, you will need all that energy booster you can have to pass through this period. [Giveaway] Alcatel FLASH

Review

Can’t stop counting my blessings! On our recent trip to Malacca, we decided to take the coach from Singapore because we have a huge group of friends (15 of us) traveling together. It would be a great experience for our girls. BUT… how do we keep them entertained throughout the journey? Joey has her phone but Jayne has nothing to keep her occupied.

Behold!!!
We were offered the chance to review the latest phone from Alcatel OneTouch – FLASH. Loaned to us for the entire 3D2N trip!

The very first try with the phone. Shutter is slightly slower but still managed to get a pretty decent photo in dim lights.

With its 5.5 inch HD display, it was just the right size for the girls when they were taking photos or playing games throughout the trip. Probably the girls will have to handle the phone with both hands, given Jayne is only 6 years old and she has petite hands. But in my hands, the size feels just right.

One charge before the trip, and we were able to use it for the entire day, non-stop games and photo-taking. Living up to the huge 3200 mAh battery life.

I took over the phone and went on a photo walk with it around the old streets of Malacca. Quite happy with the results.

ON-line Shopping

Looking for gifts for someone special? Or maybe just for a friend to say thank you. Or just because you are generous and would like to buy something for someone or yourself. Whatever the reason is, shopping has been made much easier due to the many e-commerce sites available.

IF you have not heard about Lazada Singapore, then you ought to be spanked like me. But thanks to the kind folks from Lazada, I was introduced to this wonderful site and it has greatly opened my eyes to the world of online shopping. I have never knew that so many things or practically everything you need (some probably more want than need), can be found online. What has happened to the old days of walking hours along the streets to find the best deals in town, checking the difference in prices?

So here are some of the items personally I would like to buy, some for my own pleasures, some to please the wife, you decide (maybe the cost will tell).

Father’s Day Dinner @ Oscar’s

Media Invite
I am going to give it to you first, the verdict: one of the best Buffet Dinner ever!
 DSC_4526

One thing I like about this place is the arrangement of the buffet lines. It is centralized in a circle and within one round, I know what is offered and the dishes are all grouped nicely. No hassle of walking here and there to look for food. I think buffet should be like that, no hassle, just food.

For starters, dip into the various bakery choices like bread or pizzas.

DSC_4527

Or simple dishes like this prawn, nicely presented in a wine glass.

DSC_4529

Salad is a decorated affair, with option to add your own Parma Ham. So lavish!

DSC_4530 DSC_4532

Next up is the Sushi portion, where I went for the most round, mainly for the fresh salmon sashimi.

DSC_4534

Just beside it, the range of Seafood you can expect to have.

DSC_4537

And for the Oyster lovers, this will be your favorite! Choose from New Zealand, France, USA, Ireland, etc. Seriously, I didn’t know there are so many types of Oysters! Yummy!

DSC_4540
DSC_4541 DSC_4542

A whole array of local delights. Take my advice, don’t ignore this part, I know the Seafood, Oysters and Sushi bar will be the popular choice, but you will missed out on the best if you ignore the local food.

DSC_4538 DSC_4543

Beef Balls deep fried to the liking of many kids.

DSC_4545

For the meat lovers, you won’t miss this! Pork Knuckles & Roasted Rib Eye. Remember to take the sauce provided by the side too.

DSC_4549
DSC_4552

Pardon the quality of the photo, but this fish is also a winner. Baked Butter Fish.

DSC_4554

One of the few surprises of the evening was this part where the restaurant serves Indian food. I thought it was a weird choice given the spices and unique taste of the food, but I was so wrong. The Indian food were excellent! Totally loved the different spices used in the dishes and not too strong for a Chinese.

Mixed Vegetable cooked in mild Curry

DSC_4558

Five types of lentil cooked in Indian Spices. This goes well with the crackers.

DSC_4560

All meals will be incomplete without desserts like cakes, chocolate fondue, etc.

DSC_4571

Pistachio Apricot Tart

DSC_4562

Chocolate Royal Hazelnut Crunch

DSC_4565

Bread and Butter Pudding

DSC_4568

For drinks, try out the restaurant’s special cocktail. Sure to enhance the entire dining experience.

DSC_4570

And since this is a Father’s Day special meal, all Fathers will be treated to a special glass of Prosecco.

DSC_4573

On top of that, Conrad top up the menu with a sumptuous Crab Buffet! My favorite Chilli Crab!!!
