Bringing winter experience for everyone in summer time, that is what 2 Degree Ice Art plans to do. This winter wonderland experience uses one of the world’s most advanced refrigeration technology from Germany and the indoor temperature will be maintained at -15°C. About 20 prominent ice craving masters were invited from Harbin, China, to crave a variety of iconic world landmarks like, London’s Big Ben and Paris’ Eiffel Tower.
For info, the entry tickets do not include the rental of the winter coats. You can either bring your own coats or pay $5 to rent a set.
Gloves are complimentary.
The darlings are ready to brave the cold. The sea of pink ladies! Let’s Go!
The ice sculptures were all craved out of dyed-ice blocks or coloured ice blocks with special colourful lightings to enhance the effect and beauty of the art.
The first segment is an exhibition of some iconic buildings or structures of Singapore.
We went through the brick castles and entered into the world scene.
Eiffel Tower – Paris, France
Karlskirche (Church of St Charles Borromeo) – Vienna, Austria
Big Ben – London, England
Karaweik Palace – Yangon, Burma
And this award-winning design from Japanese Snow Art Competition
Statue of Liberty – New York City
As we walked along this stretch of ice art, we are round the half way point of the Ice Art exhibition, and it is also the place where every kids (adults too) are looking forward to.
Ice Slides!!
Check out the video.
Joey had her first “snowball” fight.
By this time, we are all quite frozen. Joey had the hood up to protect her ears as well. I regretted wearing a canvas shoe with thin socks, my toes were totally frozen, I was afraid of them falling off.. Hahah..
The second half of the exhibitions.
Nine Dragon Wall – Beijing, China
Super cute Joey with her red cheeks and nose after the short one-hour walk inside the -15°C cold room.
Before you leave, remember to visit the Ice bar which is found just besides the Exhibition Hall.
This is where you and your friends can experience the thrill of drinking in a -15°C cold room, complete with tables and seats all manually craved out of ice.
Drinks were served in a specially craved authentic ice mugs and the coolest thing about this, is customers are allowed to throw the ice mugs against a target board once we have finished the drinks. Cool + Cool = Shiok!
Time to smash the ice mugs!
