Congratulations to Universal Studios Singapore at Resorts World Sentosa!

On 19 March 2016 on World Monopoly Day, RWS successfully broke the existing Guinness World Records title for most people playing Monopoly game in a single venue. Where a total of 605 individuals played the latest Monopoly Empire game at USS which surpassed the previous record of 585 participants set by Wycombe Abbey School in the UK on 14 Dec 2015.

And we were part of the 605 participants!

It was great to be back in USS after such a long while.

The new Monopoly Empire game was released in celebration of Mr. Monopoly’s 81st birthday.

The Monopoly Empire game allows player to travel around the board buying and selling the world’s top brands, like Universal Parks & Resorts, Transformers, Yahoo, etc.

The girls’ favourite was the Nickelodeon piece. Probably thinking they can own it and show all their favourite shows all day long.

Barely after 2 hours, the event was over and the officials from Guinness World Records presented the award to RWS representative.

And to end the day, Jayne squeezed through the crowd and got her wish, taking a photo with the birthday boy.

Sentosa PLAYcation 2014

Sentosa needs no introduction when it comes to FUN. But still year after year, Sentosa and its team of dedicated staff never fails to bring us new and innovative FUN, especially for the families.

The State of FUN presents Sentosa PLAYcation 2014, a chance to create larger-than-life memories, with giant inflatables!

Head over to Toyland (Palawan Beach Open Car Park), and enjoy the impressive gigantic inflatables. Available only till 4 Jan 2015, opens daily from 11am to 9.30pm (except 31 Dec, closes at 6.30pm).

Again a proof that the girls are better than me in understanding the FUN. I thought this was a bear in a “Zoro” mask, a thief bear. But the girls immediately recognized it as a Super Hero Bear. And they are right.

Here they are trying to help the bear float higher, but the wind did the trick.

This bear is so cool, even Kless and myself were so tempted to play.

 

I have no idea what is this, but anyway the colorfulness of it attracted almost everyone who passed by to just lean in and take a photo.

A Toyland is never complete without a playtent area for the kids. Spend $6 per 20mins playtime. A great break for the parents before heading off to other attractions on the island.

Bouncy Castle is always the girls’ favourite. Took us a tough time to pull them away from the fun.

 

Right in the playtent, we found another bouncy thingy. But it’s more than just the normal bouncy fun.

See the black patch on the bouncy castle? This is what you can do.

 

Carry your kids up for a “sticky” good time! They will sure love to enjoy it!

Don’t leave Toyland until you checked out the Snow Globe, a 4-meter tall inflatable.

Chose your props by the side and pose inside the globe. $5 per try, up to 6 adults.

As we were make our way to USS, we passed by another Fun place, the Candyland.

Take your selfies or wefies with the super cute gumball machine and rainbow lollies.

 

Universal Studios Singapore FUN. We took photos with all out favourite Sesame characters.

 

And since we had the Universal Express passes, we took almost all the ‘bearable’ rides with minimum waiting time. So cool! For a personal record, I finally took the Transformer Ride. Now I can boost to my friends, I have conquered my fear. But still a ‘No’ to the more adventurous rides.

Went for the new Water World show but sadly the show was cancelled halfway through due to bad weather.

Easter Weekend Special @ Universal Studio Singapore

For just three days, from 18 to 20 April, Universal Studio Singapore (USS) will be open for it’s Easter Weekend Special with various Easter activities lined up all for both adults and children for a festive celebration.

It’s a great idea to visit USS super early (8:15am), no one will be crowded near the iconic Universal globe for photos.

With a slight drizzle, we walked into the near empty USS streets for the breakfast prepared for us. And we took the chance to stop for a photo with the newly opened Minion Shop. Usually the queue will be at least 15mins wait.

The place is ready for an Egg-citing time!

First activity after breakfast was the Egg Hunt. The girls took their basket and went out in the wet morning, looking for that precious egg.

Every children’s event is not complete without some art & craft, which is as usual the girls’ all-time favourite. Easter Egg painting.

One of the greatest joy for me in attending such blogger events was to allow my children a chance to meet and make new friends!

After some work, it’s not easy to hold on to the egg on a stick to paint. The girls completed their first Easter Egg Painting for this year.

Before we called it a day, we were ushered to watch the Easter Performance. Everyone was waiting patiently for the show to start.

Hosted by this very funny man and really got the kids and adults interested.

 

Special appearance by the Easter Bunny on drums and two pairs of dancers to warm up the crowd.
