Playmobil @ Sentosa 2013

This is the second year running Sentosa is hosting Playmobil event. Thanks to Sentosa, our girls were invited out for their first event in this June school holidays.

We were slightly late for the early session of pizza-making, so the girls quietly sat down for the story telling session.

 

I have to give it to the lady who single-handily entertained the entire crowd from beginning till the end. She is so full of energy and enthusiasm.

The story-telling session happens daily between 11am – 7pm. There are three different storylines for your kids to be entertained – Hansel & Gretel, The Dragon Prince and Andy and the Magic Compass. Click here to find out the full schedule.

While the girls are enjoying the story, I took the chance to walk around and checked out what is Playmobil providing this year.

This limited Playmobil set (Egypt – Mysterious Land of the Pharaohs!) is up for auction. If you are interested to own a special limited set and at the same time do charity, do drop by and find out more.

Playmobil Cafe

This is where the girls did their sponsored pizza-making event. Pizza-making is at $10 per session with the experienced pastry chef. Each kid will also receive a Free Playmobil figurine.

Recently, the girls have been exposed to baking and cooking, I think they are getting well-prepared to be a good wife and mother when they grow up.

 

Jayne is totally enjoying herself.

 

Joey prefers to cover her pizza with pineapples top and bottom, whereas, Jayne prefers to cover everything with cheese.

 

After 15mins in the oven, viola! The pizzas are ready!

 

In addition to the pizza-making workshop, we can also try out the Little Hands and Minds arts and crafts session. Kids can try to make buttons, aprons or storybooks. Price is $10 per activity, Islanders get 50% off.

Sentosa PLAYcation 2012 - Playmobil @ Palawan Beach

I have seen these figurines before, but I have never checked out what is it called. Until we went to Sentosa and found them taken over the Palawan Beach.

The signature Playmobil toy is a 3” tall human figure. But here at Sentosa Palawan Beach, you will not be looking at a 3” figure. Life-size Playmobil characters.

I seriously think Jayne’s hairstyle looks a bit like the Playmobil figure.

The organizers prepared treasure hunt games for the kids with clues all hidden within the huge pirate ship.

The girls were asked to wear “magical masks” in order to search for the clues. Poor Joey was the only child wearing specs and she had a hard time putting on the eye mask.

But both girls enjoyed themselves and found the treasure box!

Head on to the Playmobil Play Pit after the game session. The kids will love the chance to play with the interactive Playmobil toy sets.

For the girls, anything new will be of interest to them. But personally I think if your child is slightly older, they would not be too fascinated by it.

At least I think the 3” Playmobil characters are much nicer than the life-size ones. I wouldn’t mind owing a set of it. Re-living childhood dreams.
