Serene aka God-mother
The oldest friend since our former church times. I practically sees her grown from a primary school girl into the formidable Accountant now. From the 米粉妹 to the pretty lady now. The ah Heah who is part of family.
The girls love their God-mother, cos she is like a fairy godmother, buying gifts and obliging to almost every wish (ice-cream, mamee, coke,etc) they have. I just thank God for another person who will love and care for our kids just as much as us.

Tristan & Jieyin
Congrats to the youngest couple in the Gang. Tristan successfully proposed to Jieyin and thank God the answer was ‘orh’. Sad to say I wasn’t there to witness it, but I am sure the 2 of them enjoyed every single moment.
Tristan is my ‘arch-rival’ in football world. Man U vs Liverpool. But it is through this ‘enmity’ that we have grown closer. He is probably the most humble rich guy I know. Never one to flaunt his family wealth, but really a nice guy to hang out with. In fact, I think underneath his usual ‘happy-go-lucky’ style, he is a very clever person. I hate to admit it, but should be smarter than me. At least he wins me hands-down in singing.
Tristan always like to teach Joey some funny things. Like in this photo, he was trying to tell Joey to use the piece of paper to exchange ice-cream. Haiz.. Bad influence..
Jieyin is the youngest among us. Sometimes I worry she will find us old and boring. But nonetheless, she is a very funny girl and very photogenic.

Peter & Cherry
I am very proud to say, I was the one who brought this couple together! Remember to give me a big angpow when you get married.. =p (just joking)
I know Peter slightly longer than Cherry. He is an avid photographer. Taught me almost everything that I know about photography now. Peter is a very meticulous guy, someone who likes to plan and makes a lot of preparation for everything he does. Which is why I am not surprise when he was asked to lead a team in his current work just barely 6mths in the job.
Joey remembers Uncle Peter as the photographer too. Whenever I was teaching her some stuff about camera, she will mention that Uncle Peter got very nice camera and takes good photos. Win liao lor..
More practice will come when you have you own child my friend..
I became friends with Cherry in a very special way. I’ve heard of her name, heard a lot about her from people around. But I have never seen her. That went on for 2-3 months, when finally she is back from her holiday in China. I saw a petite and shy girl. But since then, we have been good friends and recently in CG, I am really getting more and more impressed in her flow with the HS and really thankful that she is in the same CG as all of us. Accounts trained, that is an added point for me, same industry mah. Cherry is alone here in Singapore, her family is in China and so very naturally I took on the role of an elder brother and started to take care of her a bit more. But come Jan, I will be glad to hand over that task to Peter. Congrats!
The girls see Cherry as a friend who will occasionally play with them and sometimes teach them better Chinese. I am just more than happy to let her help me on Chinese =)

Tay Family
Gerald and Kristie are the oldest friends we have in CHC. Started off in the same cg and have been together pretty much all the time since. We watched them moved from pak-tor to getting married and to becoming parents.
Gerald is a very talented guitarist. Good in IT, we even have a nickname for him “gerald.com”. He is always the one who will try new gadgets and then tell us what is good and what can wait. A man of integrity, but also a very funny guy. Probably the lamest guy I have ever known. And his “lameness” becomes more serious through the night.
Gerald is one of Joey’s favourite uncle cos he always let her play his iPad. Now you know the way to win my girl’s heart.
Kristie of course plays the good wife and mother in the Tay family. But besides that, she is also my very first disciple in church. A very dedicated worker, always trying her best to fulfil her duties as a career-woman and also a ministry person. What I admire her most is her love for people and the little things she will do to just bless the people around her. It’s truly the thought that counts! Of course, married to the “lamest” guy needs to be a certain amount of ability to tahan lor..
Kristie really is like a very close auntie to Joey. Sometimes she will even help us to teach Joey. Thankful for real friends who cares!
Can you see the iphone on Joey’s hand? I am so afraid if she drops it, I will have to buy one back for Kris.
Justin, the precious in the Tay family. Most of us will remember him at this moment for his drooling powers. But he is definitely growing daily to become a very handsome boy. I think he will take on his father’s DNA, a very humorous boy and maybe 无厘头 at times. Will Work for books…

Our friendship
It’s important to have friends. But when we are married and have kids, it is crucial to have friends who LIKE KIDS. It helps if the group consist of married couples with kids too =)
Over the years, this group of people grew closer and became buddies. We call ourselves the GANG! For this entire week, I am going to dedicate it to the Gang for being the nicest friend to me and especially to Joey & Jayne.
