Following the success of Sentosa’s Musical Fountain and the recently ended Songs of the Sea, which had over 5,000 shows over seven years, Sentosa’s latest signature night extravaganza, is a creative and technical marvel - Wings of Time.
Set on the amazing sunset of Sentosa Beach, Wings of Time is a ticketed performance, with daily shows at 7:40pm and 8:40pm along Siloso Beach. Premium seats are available at S$23 per person, while standard seats are at S$18 (standard rate), and S$15 (for local residents). Tickets can be purchased online at www.wingsoftime.com.sg or on site at the ticketing counters.
Wings of Time redefines conventional story-telling with a poetic take to a tale of friendship and courage.
The story of two teenagers, Rachel and Felix, who help a bird-like creature, Shahbaz, find its way home, comes to life through an experiential fusion of multimedia effects, a catchy music score, and live talent performance.
Can you see Rachel and Felix? They are on the second and third panel of the stage.
The appearance of Shahbaz, the bird-like creature (I thought it looked like a phoenix).
The trio will bring the audiences through time on a breathtaking adventure from the Industrial Revolution and the Silk Road eras, to the African Savanna and underwater depths.
And the finale ended with the highly anticipated fireworks.
Here are some reasons to watch Wings of Time:
1. It’s the world’s only permanent night show of its kind.
2. You need a short and cool chill-out idea. The exciting show takes just 25 mins, perfect to fit around dinner plans.
3. You want to show overseas friends what modern SIngapore is all about. This is Singapore-style entertainment at its best.
4. A chance for quality family time. Have fun with your family and allow the kids especially to share their imaginative impressions after.
