A Date at Délifrance

Media Invite

Délifrance has been around in Singapore for a long time. I will always remember the outlet at Changi Airport (more than 20 years ago), I was seated at a corner waiting for Kless to finish her work at Délifrance. Then we will go for our date in the airport before I sent her home.

Forward 20+ years, we are back in Délifrance with our girls.

Invited for a French Royal High-tea with Délifrance award-winning Heritage Croissant.

The Heritage Croissant is made from premium French ingredients and in a test by a panel of experts from the International Taste & Quality Institute (iTQi) in Brussels, it emerged winner of the Superior Taste Award 2013, receiving three Golden Stars – the highest honor award to only the most exceptional products. In fact, the Heritage Croissant is the only product in Singapore to receive the coveted three Golden Stars.

Given the romantic tie to Délifrance and our family do enjoy croissants, this invite was a perfect fit.

Cafe - Baker & Cook

In Singapore, it is not difficult to find cafes. But it has been a challenge to find something unique and serves good food. Most of the cafes in Singapore serves cakes and bakery, so to be head and shoulders above everyone, you have to really serve good food with a reasonable price.

Baker & Cook is situated at Hillcrest Road, just near to Raffles Girls Primary and National JC.

I would recommend the All Day Brunch Menu.

Kless tried the Scrambled Eggs with Bacon. The bacon was done to perfection.

I was more greedy, I tried both the Toast of the Day and Deluxe Granola.

The toast of the day comes along with your choice of jams and this is the highlight. Apricot Jam, Strawberry Jam and Mixed Berries Jam. All are equally awesome!

I can probably eat this everyday.

But it was a bad idea to order anything else if you are trying the Granola. Not saying that it was not nice, in fact, this is the best I have tried, served with berry compote, natural yoghurt and icing sugar. However, it was just too filling after eating the granola, you may not have enough space to enjoy the other nice bakeries.

Long Black, not too acidic, just nice for a brunch menu.

We will be back for more.
