Movement is Happiness

Following on from the global commitments to help fight obesity, Coca-Cola Singapore once again takes up active steps to get Singaporeans to get up and move. The Company launches the Movement is Happiness™ initiative, aimed to educate Singaporeans about the emotional benefits of physical activity. Simply say, it is targeting to show us that daily movement can pave the way for a release in our emotional happiness. Move and be happy, thus the slogan: The More You Move, The Happier You Feel!

Kicking off this series of activities, Coca-Cola set up activity stations just outside Wisma Atria, promoting some fun and easy activities such as hula hoops, skipping ropes, flying discs and beach balls.

After just a short explanation, Joey & Jayne were able to throw the frisbee with much better control.

Is it a myth or is it true that hula hoops can help slimming? If true, I better start the training for my girls now. They will thank me in future.

I was quite surprised that Joey was able to skip so well, the last time I saw her skipping, she couldn’t even swing the ropes properly.

Gym balls were available for the crowd too.

Who says gym balls can only be thrown around? These guys totally changed the rules with their amazing juggling skills.

From now till end of April, Coca-Cola will set up more activity stations at various locations across Singapore. Next up will be at CityLink from 29 to 30 Mar, make sure you don’t miss it.

Create Happiness with Coca-Cola

Chinese New Year is probably one of the most important and favourite festive season for many. And it’s not just because of the Bak Kwa or CNY goodies, but because it is a season of sharing love and happiness. It’s a period of time for families and friends to gather and share lives and gifts.

Coca-Cola brings the sharing of happiness beyond the four walls of a home but into the community and across all race. With the hope of bridging the gap between the seniors and youths in Singapore, Coca-Cola placed interactive machines at Jurong Point Mall (a popular shopping destination for seniors) and youth hotspot Cathay Cineleisure Orchard. The interactive machines enabled generations from both locations to “e-meet” and put a smile on each other’s faces. The machine also allowed the participants to gift a CNY token to each other, which was delivered via the machine.

Watch the following YouTube video on how the Coca-Cola machines brought the two generations together.

HappinessCreators

To further encourage Singaporeans to create happiness for those around us, Coca-Cola has launched the #happinesscreators project. The project aims to inspire Singaporeans to create moments of happiness for others, and to share their stories online via various social media channels.

Create Happiness this Chinese New Year, share how you have created happiness for others on Instagram and Twitter and tag your posts with #happinesscreators. The best happiness creation story stands to win a 3D2N getaway to Hong Kong for 4 people!

Coca-Cola 125th Anniversary Party

Thanks to Coca-Cola, Kless and I were invited for the 125th Birthday Party held at Nomu @ Handy Road.

We were suppose to be dressed in Coke Red but only Kless managed to find something that fits the theme. I had to put on a bright red tie to match her. At least I got some red on me =)

The event hall was nicely done, with enough space for the guests to mingle around and also interesting Coke artefacts brought in from Atlanta, Georgia.

Check out this beach wear! Uber cool! I wish they still produces this.

The development of the Coca-Cola bottle, from a straight side bottle (left) to the now famous contour bottle (right).

A special 1978 Coca-Cola bottle. This was the year Kless was born. Good year!

Sample crowns in Japanese. It actually reminds me of one of my childhood games, ‘ka-shing’. We used such bottle crowns to hold the sting. You will understand what I mean if you are my age..

This can is used back then to contain the Coke syrup to be transported to the factories to produce the Coca-Cola drink. Wonder they still do it this way? Preservation of heritage?

What makes a good event is not only the things but also the food and the service. The finger food served were delicious, sorry we were too busy tasting everything, just a few photos to wet your appetite.

Prawn with munchy cucumbers

Some fish thing (you know how much I dislike fish).. But Kless says it’s very good..

Even the serving tray is so USA.

Of course in such an event, how could there be a lack of COCA-COLA!! I have to confess, I had at least 3 bottles of coke in less than an hour =p

Proofs of our love for Coca-Cola.

Goodies for everyone who attended the event, includes a limited stamp set to commemorate the 125th Anniversary of Coca-Cola.

A unique gift box with 2 bottles of Coca-Cola.

And a photo for us to remember this event. Nice couple eh..
