Philips - The ‘+’ Project

More and more companies are engaging in social enterprise, whereby an organization applies commercial strategies to maximise improvements in human and environmental well-being.

Philips launches The ‘+’ Project in Singapore, having done the same successfully in Indonesia and Thailand. This project aims to improve the quality of people’s live through meaningful innovations. Philips is committed to partnering governments and relevant stakeholders to address modern day challenges in Asia Pacific through The ‘+’ Project.

The ‘+’ Project will engage people from all walks of life in Singapore on local health and well-being challenges impacting the nation, through a broad campaign including an interactive platform.

Program aims to deliver truly meaningful innovations through engagement and co-creation of solutions with key partners, organizations and everyone in Singapore.

Philips will invest US$50,000 to realize the winning idea.

Five ideas proposed by The ‘+’ Project in Singapore, cutting across the thematic platforms of Healthy Living, Access to Healthcare and Livable Cities, one winning idea will be chosen through public voting.

As a father, the idea of promoting this project is not so much about winning prizes, but I truly applaud the companies who are coming forth to do their part for the society. A few tens of thousand dollars may not be huge amount for big corporations, but it will definitely help just to seed an idea and hopefully from it birth forth greater awareness of the importance of health and well-being.
 
Singaporeans are probably one of the most hardworking people in the world. We worked to support our family, we work to gain recognition, we work to satisfy our needs.
 
Having a child that is going to P1 next year, I truly want her to enjoy life, to have a balanced family-school life.
Bravo to Philips for initiating The ‘+’ Project. Let’s make Singapore an even better place to live in!
