Tiong Bahru Park Playground

On the eve of Children’s Day, I brought both the girls out to the playground we have always been wanting to visit. The huge train that is so obvious even when you are on the bus or car.

The interior of the train is a long of slanted obstacles, if your child is not so daring, they may have a problem crossing the obstacles.

But Joey and Jayne are quite "tom boyish”. This are just added fun for them to navigate across the tunnel. Commando Jayne!

This playground is one of the few still covered with sand.

The girls met another pair of sisters who were also there with their father. The little girl’s name is Rose (4 yrs old). Immediately she became Jayne’s best friend in less than 10 secs.

The girls were playing “catching”. Joey commanded asked the other girl to be the “monster” and they are the “victims”. Haizz, my girl is so D.

Other parts of the playground included the slides, bouncing cars & horse, & the swings.

    1. I assmue you are not familiar with Singapore. Tiong Bahru is one of the oldest housing estate in Singapore. The park is just walking distance from the MRT station, about 5mins.

  2. Thanks for sharing.
I jogged there 4 rounds (each 620m) after I started from home to reach there.
    Total distance = 5km.
    But that was before 2010.
Since the opening of Henderson waves and Alexandra Arch,
I jogged around Southern Ridges more than this route.

    1. you are most welcome..with the newer parks opening around the area, it's not unusual for older parks to be forgotten..but occasionally it's good to re-visit again =)
