Continuing from Part 1, after the sand sculpture painting, we were ushered to Port of Lost World (POLW). What better way to cool off after a hot morning at the beach. Woohoo!
Each child was given curio coins for the activities. Since Joey started school, she is more conscientious of money and the curio coins were pretty precious to her.
As for Jayne, she is still learning about the value of money but nonetheless, still very happy to have some coins. Or to find a thread in her treasure bag.
In view of the upcoming Sentosa Flowers event, the children were given a chance to get their hands dirty and try pot planting at the Tree of Wonder.
The staff teaching the kids on how to add in the fertilizer stones, soil, and how to shift the flowers from the small pot into the children’s selected colour pots.
Joey and Jayne with their selected flower pots. I think Joey’s choice is daisy and Jayne’s flower is rose.
Time to get our hands dirty… Add in the colour stones and soil.
Shake it up and make sure that the pot is at least half filled.
Finally plant in the flower and add more soil to the brim.
Dirty hands to show that they have worked hard. All in less than 20mins =)
Remember to water the plants..
And hopefully we will see something like this in a couple of weeks’ time.
The highlight for every child that day has to be the Pirate Ship. Actually the adults were equally excited for the chance to cool down too.
Just a word of caution for parents, remember to apply lots of sun block for your child (SPF50).
For 30 curio coins, this is a must try – Bubble Party!!
Before you leave, don’t miss the chance to exchange 10 curio coins for a tasty ice pop.
The ultimate treat on a hot day.
Thank you Sentosa for the invite!
