Finally I had the chance to walk down Orchard Road and take some Christmas photos. As expected, the place was swarmed by shoppers doing their last minute Christmas purchases and people like me who is just walking along with a camera, hoping to capture some Christmas season mood before the year ends in 2011.
This year along Orchard Road, there were different street performers singing, dancing and performing acrobatics. The mood was indeed more festive than past years.
Some welfare organization even had childcare service. How many parents will dare to leave their kids here for 2 hours? Or do the tourists have so much faith in Singapore’s security? Anyway, this is something new.
Christmas is definitely a joyous season. The lights, the decorations, the shopping, all but most importantly, it’s a time to celebrate Christ’s birth.
