Sponsored Event
Another great place to bring our kids out on this June Holidays is Science Centre Singapore. And a great reason to visit SCS this month is because the Blockbuster Exhibition – Megabugs Returns!
The exhibition will give you and your children the experience of being a bug (in terms of size). You will get to navigate through a maze of towering glass blades, rocks, and flowers, all in search for the bugs showcased in various corners of the hall.
Just a gentle reminder for parents with cameras, you may not get your kids to pose in this exhibit like any others, my girls refused to pose for me in front of the bugs. I think they would just prefer to watch and see. Typical girls. So here you have it, the photos without the girls.
An army of ants devouring the humongous donuts.
There are also education tunnels for both adults and children to gather up some interesting facts of the bugs’ world.
An equally huge bygone to counter the gigantic mosquito.
Remember to prep your kids that some of the bugs will move. Like this preying mantis, grasshopper and bee.
Not all bugs are man-made. There are some live ones if you prefer those. Like these creepy bugs.
It was a great idea to have some art & craft stations within the exhibitions for the children.
And since you are there for the exhibition, why not drop by the Bugs! 3D – A Rainforest Adventure show. It will definitely enhance your knowledge on the life cycles of a preying mantis and a butterfly from birth to their inevitable encounter in the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia, where predator meets prey.

Erks. I think I may have nightmare if I visit such an exhibition. Haha. But I'm sure this is educational and interesting for the kids.
ReplyDeleteActually, you are quite right.. I would imagine the kids will be afraid but instead they are quite receptive, it's the parents who are too protective or think too much.. definitely an educational trip for them.. Joey as usual asked most of the questions during the short tour.. =)
