Regular Eye Check

Coming from a family of myopia history, we are extremely concern for our girls ever since Joey was diagnosed to be short-sighted at the tender age of 5 years old. According to a report, more than 62% of our kids when they leave primary school, they will have short-sightedness.

Joey has been returning to TTSH for regular eye check for the past 2 years. It was since 6 months she last visited the clinic.

See her cheekiness when going through the tests. Wait till she goes through the eyedrop test.

For an active girl like her, it was truly a feat for her to sit still on a child for such a long time.

End results, her short-sightedness has deteriorated. We will need to make a new pair of glasses for her. And Joey will have to regularly do her eye exercises at home.

Looking at a fixed point and count to 10.

  1. Why would the eye drops be painful? Burning sensation? What does it do?
